|One of the problems of being on the top floor is that heat rises. As a result we've been cranking the ac and using fans to try to cool off. Unfortunately the furnace doesn't seem to work well; it runs and runs without stopping 24/7 and still the air is rather warm. Also, today it began making a high pitched noise at random intervals. While trying to get the noise to stop I discovered a part laying on a section of the furnace. No idea where it goes or if it's even related to the furnace. And yes, the furnace drives the air conditioning.
Today's main efforts were focused on FnF and the PC Project. I made some real progress on the latter, but ran out of time to implement the new design idea.
Tomorrow looks to be quite an adventure as several services are going to descend on the place en masse. Of particular note the furniture will arrive.
Just in case you know where your mask and volleyball are I discovered the unoffical rules to Calvinball this evening.
Unfortunately not every that happened today was a good thing. In Minneapolis a good chunk of the interstate collapsed into the Mississippi river during the height of rush hour! Great Galloping Gertie, that's a bad way to go.
On the plus side, the bridge had been limited to 2 lanes instead of the entire 4 lanes, thus there were fewer cars on it then there might have been.
