|It's been hard to keep a straight face around here today. The creatinine clearance test requires the patient to collect their urine over the course of 24-hours. Thus, I was given two bottles capable of holding 3,000 cc of kidney output. Currently both are full, and the coffee creamer jar is half full. The average amount of pee per pee is 400 cc to 640 cc for a normal person. I'm not normal. In my case, 640 cc is the low end of the spectrum. I typically output a whopping 1,500 cc per trip to the loo. As a result we're trying to come up with additional containers; they don't need to be sterile, just water proof.
Grand total for now is roughly 1.25 gallons. As this is typical for me, there's a reason we weren't expecting kidney trouble.
Since I started late (just after noon) the collection will continue throughout the night and tomorrow morning.
I can't wait to see the look on the nurses' faces when we deliver the pee using a shopping cart.
In other news, my new DS game arrived. It's Kirby Super Star Ultra, the DS port of Kirby Super Star for the SNES. Naturally I'm spent a good portion of the day playing it.
I did spend some time with Project Phoenix today. Things are getting organized, though it's too early to start coding.
Today's link is an old but silly video featuring Kirby and Crazy Pointing Guy.
