Busy little day
Posted on September 22nd, 2008
I woke up around 7:30 AM and couldn't get back to sleep. As a result I started my day with only 5 or 6 hours sleep; I tend to need 8 or more to be rested and ready to go, so this wasn't my cup of tea.

First on the agenda was the trip to take Pover for his annual checkup. While getting out the door kind of botched, everything else went smoothly. He got his shots and the vet checked the blood work. Pov's going to need to get his remaining teeth cleaned and the mats brushed out of his fur. They will put him under using gas only instead of an IV; hopefully this will allow Pover to bounce back better than the last time he was under. That visit has been scheduled for later in the week.

After returning Pover home, mom and I ran a few errands. While we were out, we stopped and had lunch at McDonald's. On the way back from shopping, we stopped and paid the rent. Naturally this involved chatting with the landlord for bit. The biggest news from that exchange was we now know where he graduated from: a private Christian University. This was not too unexpected (him being out of the closet notwithstanding).

Most of the remainder of my day was spent working with Din. The audit had caused a number of regressions, so I fixed those. I also began building the website for it. Since Sourceforge runs PHP, I can take advantage of it and use an easy to maintain templating system. Considering there's going to be about 150 pages, anything to make working with it easier is a boon to be grateful for.

For your link of the day have some oddities. I also noticed this evening that the Linkfest now boasts 109 links.
