Moving right along (do di do)

My day was centered around prototyping a light and shadow system for Project Metal. According to some of the development sites I visit, there are a number of popular methods. The code I came up with is apparently a bit unique as it's a bit of a merger of techniques. Overall it's an implementation of Shadow Casting with very limited checks, preset shadow locations and multiple light sources. While some artifacts are present, they are not the traditional artifacts and I think they can be coded out.

During the evening mom got a call from one of my brothers, and they talked at length. Unfortunately, due to things such as his screaming kids, they talked at length at a high volume.

Aside from being audible in the neighboring apartments and down the hall outside, it made it very difficult for me to focus on the algorithm.

The summary of the news is that stuff is slowly improving over in his neck of the woods.

What remained of my day was spent plotting out future plans. I'm sure I've lost my marbles and the fact that I plan on working on Projects Gold, Metal, Phoenix, Noise and Thingy simultaneously is rather compelling proof of that.
