|Today was a somewhat quick day. I spent it working with Fur and Faith's backend. I also played around with a nifty tool built in to one of the web browsers I use. It's a text reader: highlight text on the web page and this tool can read it to you. It's quite effective, though some words like Jalapeno and UGuardian are rather mispronounced. Also, a page must identify itself as ISO-8859-1 or it won't be able to read the text. Another oddity is the way HTML throws it off. It's so close yet so far.
To get a start on fighting the weight problem, I took the stairs instead of the elevators when getting the mail. I figure climbing five flights of stairs should help burn calories.
Today was the anniversary of the fateful day the police found Mary Ann Nichols's body. This was the first prostitute murdered by Jack the Ripper. Or Sebastian, as he prefers to be called.
