|Instead of focusing on any one thing, I spent today by tinkering with several things. I worked with Din, Necros Cavern, the upcoming revision of this site and monitored the neighbors. The more I rubberneck, the more curious things become. Of course I could try asking them or the management, but I doubt they'd appreciate what the question implies and I'm kinda sure there are laws preventing the management from telling me what I want to know.
The GUI version of Necros Cavern 1.0 RC2 is coming along smoothly. The menus largely work, though there are some gaps.
Din's still hitting growing pains, but it's moving along. Much of the core library will be reworked to echo other languages for example. I also proved the validity of the planned GUI module.
When I got the mail I took a chance and carried some change. 90% of the time the vending machine in the lobby is all sold out, but I figured I'd try for a pop just for fun. To my pleasant surprise there was actually some pop in the machine. I got myself a Mt. Dew.
Four links for today.
On UserFriendly people are joking about the TLD rule changes. I chimed in saying I'd like the .heads TLD. After all, it's rather versatile. There's sh*t.heads, hammer.heads, block.heads, pin.heads, shrunken.heads, hunting.heads, air.heads, egg.heads and rollypollyfish.heads for example.
If you're both a computer geek and a Star Wars geek you'll love this.
For completely random, try this in-scale comparison of the size of some planets and stars.
