|I spent part of the day working with Necros Cavern. I spent the remainder of the day working with the new version of Din. It's not working, and after hours of debugging and fuss I still don't know why. It seems to be reading the source file out-of-order (how is that possible?!) and another function keeps returning NULL when it shouldn't. That function also works correctly when used in isolation. None of this makes sense, and nothing looks odd in the code. I give up, maybe tomorrow something will pop out of the wood work.
A quick leafing through the Jargon File reveals the name of this pest: it's a mandelbug. It's also a type of Bhor bug as the definition of mandelbug implies. It's quite easy to repeat this bug -- just run the program. The bug will appear 100% of the time.
Equally absurd are today's links.

I have to agree with the last line of this article.
G.I. Joe, American terrorist. Speaking of which, the terrists have clearly won when we're scared stupid of shit like this.
