|Today featured two doozies: MatthiasRat's mom's dog was killed by another dog at the kennel it was staying at, and there's a UFie that is penned up in a hospital's mental ward.
I spent part of the day backing my stuff up and backing up and burning some stuff for mom. I had to try the CD burning software that came with Windows to do it; normally I reboot into Linux and use K3B, but today I can't get K3B to run nor can I mount the drive with the stuff to burn! This seems to be leftover troubles from when I tried hooking that partition up to the internet a while back. The Windows software is rather nifty and did the job faster than K3B normally works.
While I backed up my stuff I noticed the disarray my files (and my backups) are in. I think it's time to start using a CVS program. However, I'm insane, so I spent the evening designing and coding my own CVS solution. It's got a lot of bugs at the moment, but that should be easy enough to fix.
Some links for today:
Middle Aged Woman is a hilarious song. This page uses a flash video to play the song, but there's no video.
Fat man busts loose to the music.
A while back Maggock on LJ made up a chart showing gross earnings of computer generated movies. It's here.
Speaking of movies, the topic of Parental homicide and Disney movies came up during dinner, so I had to find a page on the topic.
