Recap of the day
Posted on May 3rd, 2008
Today's errands were very to the point. We checked a few nurseries for pots and plants, and we stopped at three pharmacies in case they have pots.

One of the nurseries had a ton of pots. There were more pots there than china in a thrift shop.

At one of the pharmacies we didn't find pots, but I found and purchased a Rush action figure. That's right, Rush. He can become Rush Jet, though his other forms aren't part of the figure.

At the usual pharmacy I picked up a root beer while mom picked up a couple of goodies. One of the things I noticed there was that many of the shelves in the snack and goodie isle were bare: no products nor even price tags. Apparently now that we've learned the store's layout it's time to move things around.

All four volumes of the Sonic the Hedgehog comics arrived today. The books are smaller than I'd expected, and the contents reminds me of Disney's Adventures books. A notable trait is that the comics change tone and writing style slightly as time goes on. This is noticeable as early as the first volume. This may be because the franchise was no longer a one-hit-wonder after the first few issues: there was no longer a need to cram jokes into a comic and a storyline could be the focus.

It's a good thing those came as the afternoon and evening saw some nasty weather. Despite being off the computer most of the day I did manage to concoct some code that will reduce Din's loading time by a factor of 10 or so.

Since I wasn't on the computer much I didn't run across any links worth sharing.
