|Today was largely spent working to solve the Linux riddle I couldn't get solved yesterday. I had an idea and looked up a program that might solve the problem. It's a virtual machine, so Linux would run on the Windows side of the computer. Since Windows can access the internet, if I could get the virtual machine to allow the guest OS to share this connection, then I'd be able to get Linux to do what I want it to do. Most of the day was spent either downloading the software I need or installing the software in the virtual machine.
It does seem to be working. There are some errors left to hammer out via configuration and further downloads, but it does seem to work.
In other news, the D.C. Madam has is dead, apparently a suicide. Tin hat users are already wondering if this was a very professional "hit" orchestrated by someone powerful that's on her list of patrons. Many others simply wonder where that blackmail material has gone off to now that she's not around to keep an eye on it.
Lastly, John Stewart has something to say about abstinence only education.
