|It may seem to be an odd way to start the day, but shortly after I got up mom and I went to the garden center for various things. We picked up more plants, lots of pots, some potting soil, and some suet bricks. All of which are for the balcony of course. Earlier in the day my parents had visited the bird store and picked up yet another bird feeder and stand, as well as the bird bath mom's been debating about.
Ah yes; spending money like we have it.
The rest of the day was spent putzying on the computer. I worked a little on Din, Project Sailor and Project Parcae. Among other revisions Din's module handling has been reworked almost completely. This allows the modules to be more intimate with the interpreter. I left a few things out, but for the most part the new version runs. Later I'll be adding such neat things as sophisticated file operations, events and even exception handling.
Links for today:
Afraid of heights? Don't visit El camino del Rey or the Devil's Pool.
There is now a book to explain plastic surgery to children. While it may be a good idea to explain why mommy can't stop looking surprised, this may be rather harmful. People always tell children that they are beautiful. Now these kids get to hear that they aren't beautiful enough.
Lastly a lovely situation has developed in Texas. It's been the focus of the news for the past few days, but if you want you can read about it here. Underage marriage, purchasing wives, indoctrination, rampant incest, abuse and other horrors are just some of the problems here.
