|Yesterday wasn't a particularly good day for anyone in this household. It started off with a simple trip to drop off mom's car for some repairs, and ended with a movie night. Most of the day was a battle in some way.
In particular, the movie was ruined for me because I spent most of it fighting with the tablet. Ultimately, the tablet ended up being bricked by Windows 10's infamous update feature. The hard drive is too small for the new update, so it would be partially downloaded, then present the error message, deleted, and then Windows would stupidly see there was free space on the drive and repeat the procedure.
Meanwhile, the tablet couldn't be used for anything because of the sheer strain of the Windows update process. I eventually gave up, attempted to factory restore the tablet, and this failed, turning the device into a paperweight. Needless to say, I wasn't very happy about this. After popping it open and cutting the tablet's hard drive and RAM into bits with a wire cutter, I threw the mess into the garbage and went to bed.
On the positive side, I can reuse the keyboard, SD card and some of the cables with anything that I get later on, though that's not much comfort.
Things went better today, though it's still going fairly roughly as everyone's still reeling from yesterday. Most of my activity was centered around either getting the Christmas surprise further along or continuing work on the review editing. Currently, 21 of the 93 reviews have been revised, and I've found at least one review that somehow managed to be posted, but not listed, on the site.

Modern inconveniences at their best, folks!
