|Today began with some errands. Mom and I visited the pet store and picked up a new bowl for the cats and some spares for the Turbo Track. The next stop was Target, where we picked up some boxes, lunch and other things.
After that we visited the bird store where we picked up a small bag of sunflower seed and a bag of roasted maggots. We've noticed that the birds at the feeder only eat the sunflower seed, so we wanted to correct the menu a bit. Also, a Barn Swallow arrived the other day and looked around. Since they eat primarily insects, don't eat seed and we'd like to see more of them we picked up the bag of bugs.
Lastly we visited the sporting good store. We picked up a 25 pound disk to help anchor the bird feeder, and a pair of 10 pound dumbbells for me. I'm not ready to up the weights; I just figured I'd get them the next time we were there.
Also, I noticed something: dumbbells cost about $1.15 per pound at Target. They were only $0.39 per pound at the sporting goods store.
After we got home and had lunch the mail brought my last purchase: the complete Sonic the Hedgehog SatAM DVD set.
During the early evening I fought with Project Sailor a great deal and managed to make some headway. The tutorial I'd found yesterday was tripe; it was also apparently incomplete and abandoned. I ended up getting lucky and managed to find a library that does everything I need it to do. The examples work, so now I just have to focus on it's tutorial to learn the workings.
I spent the rest of the day working on recoding Necros Cavern while watching Sonic the Hedgehog.
Two links from me today:
An abnormal number of sea quakes is happening in the ocean near Oregon.
This is a list of the ten most over hyped jokes in video game history. Honorable mention includes E.T. for the Atari 2600, which I've actually beaten; a frightening but true anecdote.
In other news, I've lost another 1.5 pounds.
