|Only once did my temperature go above 99.4°F today, my throat isn't sore anymore and I'm not coughing very much. I'm just about over it I think. Mom seems to be getting slowly worse however. She's allergic to the fancy drug I've been taking, so her pills aren't nearly as strong. She'll probably need to upgrade to something more potent before this is over.
The mainstay of the day was reading stuff online, but I did finish the current Kirby game and even reached the "bad" ending of one of the Sonic titles.
Today mom and I walked the halls for the first time since we got sick. This went fairly well, though once we got back from waking our 1/3 of a mile I launched into a coughing fit that lasted a good 5 or 6 straight minutes. I'm not going to add the upper-body routine back in until I'm completely over this.
In other news the people in the apartment where rather quiet today. Did someone work up the cajoles and complain? After school program suck up their energy? Just too tired to run around randomly screaming? They read this blog and figured out whom was being written about? The tranquilizers darts are finally having an effect? How many licks to the center of a tootsie pop?
The world may never know.
Scientists are really going batty over a deadly problem called White Nose Syndrome. It's killing bats by the bunch: 90% of one cave's population was wipe out. Two articles on the subject are this article from the Associated Press and this article from The North Adams Transcript. This genocide-by-Nature is right up there with Colony Collapse Disorder -- a situation where bees abandon hives and disappear. Both situations are fairly new: CCD was discovered in 2006, WNS in 2007.
Next, here's a site that wants people to be more truthful. We often post LOL when it's not exactly true. We're laughing on the inside, not laughing out loud. Thus you have No More LOL, a page trying to make a difference.
Lastly, here's a group of people that love their balls and some unusually balanced coins.
