|Today the fever is holding down around 100°F. The cough syrup prescribed by the doctor seems to be holding the coughing fits at bay to a fair degree, though they still pop up every so often. I'm a great deal more alert and oriented than yesterday, and this probably is due to both bringing the fever down and the fact that I can stand eating. Tea is still a big help as it goes down smoother than the cold water I normally drink by the gallon.
I spent today thinking about Project Gold, playing more Kirby and generally surfing the internet.
One thing of note was that I accidentally forgot to mention something in yesterday's post. One of the things we picked up at the pharmacy was a can of Pork and Beans. Normally that's too high in sodium to work on my diet, but since eating much of anything was a task yesterday I could actually handle the sodium content. In fact, without the beans I would have ended the day with a dangerously low amount of sodium in my system.
While they were yummy as beans go, I remember when the can of pork and beans had a little sliver or chunk of pork in the can with the beans. This can had no such morsel. If they make Kosher pork and beans, I'd be rather impressed, more so if they label the cans differently than the normal pork and beans.
Two links for today:
A humorous take on the differences between C and Pascal can be found here. I've linked to this many times before; it simply came to the forefront of a conversation earlier.
Utah is motioning for a G rated internet. Naturally, people are uncomfortable with the idea as "inappropriate content" is rather relative. Also, for a lot of people Utah = Mormon = Weirdo fundies.
