|The cough developed into a good old fashioned illness over night. I've lost my voice from coughing so much, and now each new coughing fit leaves me a dizzy. For the real kicker I'm running a fever (102.5°F as of now).
I went online this morning and looked up remedies for coughing troubles. The advice I found was to use hot tea and cough drops. As we had neither, mom and I zipped over to the store to pick some up. Almost immediately upon returning home I went to pieces; prior to getting home I appeared perfectly fine (just coughing), but afterwards I looked and felt like Hell.
The hot tea seams to be a big help, especially on the way down.
This is quite a surprise considering that I almost never get anything more serious than stuffy. Fortunately I'll be seeing the doctor tomorrow, so this can get cleared up soon.
We tried recharging the automatic cuff's batteries during the day. Now it pumps to 150, the display rests to 0, and it pumps up another 150 (yes, 300 units total -- it does not release the pressure when the display resets). It's broken. On the plus side this may mean my blood pressure is right where it ought to be. On the downside your blood pressure spikes when an illness is present or brewing, so this coughing stuff may have been behind the high readings.
I spent the day reading stuff on software development and playing two of the Kirby games I recently acquired.
The previous post about Nanostray was born of two reasons. One, I've been wondering if embedding YouTube clips works on this blog. Yes, they certainly do. The other reason was I've been meaning to say "This is fun! Don't miss this game!" since I got my copy. NanoStray II comes out in March.
I'm going to try to sleep and/or cool off now.
