|The morning was spent running an errand. This was roughly half of the full grocery shopping. We went now because we were running too low on gooshy food to make it until the big shopping.
Among other things I got some chocolate-covered peanut butter wafer bars I've been thinking about as well as New York style hot deli chicken for lunch and some Buffalo deli chicken for dad's lunch and dinner.
Majority of the evening was spent coding. I worked on Thingy 2.0, implementing most of the planned features, and the restart of the PC Project's support program. I had been trying to make do with just FPC, the WinAPI and my wits, but I decided that this was a program that would see very limited use (ie, in-house only) so why bother about how it works as long as it does work. Thus I installed Delphi and got that setup.
In other news, today is the one year anniversary of the day that Boston authorities saved their city from the terrorist plot to use light brites to reek havoc. In other words, this was the one year anniversary of the Boston Bomb Scare of 2007, which was one of the most paranoid and over the top reactions to "terror" in history.
One of the topics on UF today was the problems with having a "I am innocent, I have nothing to hide" attitude towards government surveillance. My remark was summed up very simply: Being innocent isn't that helpful.
