|The main event of the day was the reformat. It took about 4 or 5 hours for BOINC to finish up what it was doing, and then an additional 3 hours to backup everything. Somewhere around 8:00 PM the two operating systems were installed and Windows configured for internet access, but that's about it. I'm using IE 6 to post this; as I don't have tabs, I have several windows up -- and thus illustrate why lots of windows isn't much of a replacement for tabbed browsing.
I spent much of the waiting time playing Legend of Zelda on my GBA. On the productive end of things I did a fair amount of thinking about how to go about some things.
Honestly, this was probably the most prolonged reformat in years. Previously I'd have this completely done by dinner.
I did forget the bizarre Engrish the recovery disks use. For example, there's this quote: "Hard disk recovery has completedly."
Tomorrow looks like it'll be taken up solely with installs and configurations.
