Visit with ginger
Posted on November 24th, 2012
Today was rather different than usual, as my more toy-obsessed cousin came by this morning for a visit. As usual we showed each other some of the neat items in our collections. To my pleasant surprise, my cousin had picked up one of the larger Rainbow Dash plushies for me. After spending time talking about various toys and talking about the shows and materials that accompanied them, we settled down in the kitchen for the main event: constructing a gingerbread house. You see, the idea behind this visit was that we need to simply get together more often without being rushed. Typically the only times we see each other is when there's a wedding or other major family event, so this was strictly about fun for the sake of fun.

This was also the first time either of us had attempted a gingerbread house, and it turned out pretty well. It was made from a kit rather than from scratch, so that had a lot to do with it. The gingerbread pieces were also harder than bricks, so we had no issues with crumbling.

After the visit things around here returned to normal. I spent the afternoon preparing another week of posts for Emo, and the evening was spent working on creating a new theme for PonAI, as I've come to dislike the original style for various reasons. Currently it's set to one of the themes Tumblr provides, which is less glaring than the original blue on black theme.

The main plan for tomorrow is laundry, though I'm not sure just what else I'll be about.

Lastly, the link for the day is an article that takes us back to when IBM was teamed up with the muppets.
