Unexpected results

Today's doctor visit went quite different than expected. Instead of focusing on my diet, he focused on my workout. After some discussion, he told me to do a large number of reps with a low weight and a longer time on the cycle with low resistance, which is more or less the opposite of what I was doing. The advice I had been following was along the lines of "if you can do 8+ reps with your current weights, you need to use heavier weights to continue getting benefits".

So pointless lecture averted, we got Subway for lunch.

Later in the afternoon I did 15 reps using the 10 lbs weights. This was rather easy and seemed a bit trite. However, it took me nearly 45 minutes to catch my breath and a little longer for my shoulders to stop having spasms. Also, this ended up giving me a side order of nausea and the trots. Hooray for a thorough workout.

Progress-wise, I spent part of the evening working out how to draw everything I'll be making tutorials for this round.

In other news, there's a little black and white kitten wandering about the property. This evening it was eating some of the peanuts we've been feeding the birds. Dunno if it's a stray or if it has a home, and it's starting to get rather cold out there.

Lastly, one of the games on my Steam wishlist went on sale for a mere $2.50 today. Naturally I snapped it up, so I know what I'll be spending the weekend doing. "Minigun, for maximum pleasure!"
