|I needed to get up early today, so naturally I wasn't able to get a decent night's sleep despite going to bed early. Most of the day was thus fueled by a 20oz Mt. Dew we picked up while we were out rather than actual energy.
Still, I managed to get a lot of work done. I completed four tutorials for DBHL and did some planning for later.
You see, both the compiler I use and the IDE that was created to accompany it have had several upgrades since I installed them last. So I spent part of the day getting them installed and configured. The biggest catch to this is that now I have to re-make most of the projects I did in the IDE, as a lot of things changed and it's not a clean transition. This shouldn't take long, but it will take time.
The other thing is that Necros Cavern (remember that?) is becoming incompatible with current systems. Simply put, text mode programs are becoming rarer and rarer, and support for that is waning. My plan here was to just give it some attention and fix things so they work right in the new versions of the compiler, but it would probably be best to instead give the entire project a major facelift and bring it much more up to today's standards. Yeah, it'll be a bit more work than originally planned, but it should go smoothly enough.
Lastly, I leave y'all with an odd and mesmerizing video from Japan.
