|I spent part of the morning trying different ideas out with the toolkit and low level stuff. Here's a quick recap of what I discovered:
| ||Toolkit||Low Level code|
|Binary Size||35 KB||100 KB|
|Ease of Use||Easy||Medium|
The incompatibility with NCurses poses a bigger problem than the toolkit's lack of threading support. So while I could use the low level stuff, it's not the best of the two for some projects.
Much of the day was spent watching an older Anime movie via YouTube. This old movie is similar to Disney's Fantasia than other movies. There are several skits, each with a different story, director, art style and music. Some are happy, others are not.
Later, mom and I ran some errands. Primarily we picked up perscriptions, though we picked up lunch as well. I got some deli Mild Chicken. It's tangy instead of hot, and is rather good.
Here are today's links. Most of these are part of the Anime movie I mentioned.
First off, a YouTube user has been making videos based on the comic strip Garfield. Here's their channel
Next is a long strip about artificial intelligence
And now for the Anime. It's called Robot Carnival.
Today's technology, tomorrow's threat; as things go into disrepair they go haywire.
Girl loves Boy, boy cheats on girl, girl enters virtual reality.
Girl is kidnapped, robot kicks robot-keister with gratuitous explosions.
A Tale of Two Robots (Part 1,2)
A robot built for a festival and its crew must save the town from a mad scientist's giant robot.
Robots + Night on Bald Mountain + Sleepy Hallow
Mad Scientist brings robot to life.
Robot child walks on, wishing to become a real boy. (My least favorite of the skits as this one kinda drags)
Presence (Part 1,2,3)
Man builds a woman. Woman turns out to have an opinion. Oops.
The Carnival finally breaks down. All that's left is an exploding music box.
