|Yesterday morning I couldn't fall asleep. I ended up going with my parents to the local Italian restaurant and gorging myself. After that, falling asleep was easy.
However, it also meant that I had to eat rather light today since it was far beyond yesterday's diet limits. No biggie, I just had a few burgers and a PBJ. Oddly enough, it turns out that the nasty frozen burgers taste kinda good if you use rye bread in place of the bun.
I spent the night recoding one of KuiperHack's support programs. This went rather smoothly.
I also (finally) figured out how to call the common open and save dialogs using raw WinAPI. It takes roughly 30 lines of code to do that. Methinks a single function would have been a better design idea.
One of the last things I did today was try once again to get the low level video and keyboard stuff to work as a replacement for the provided toolkit. The provided toolkit is nice and easy to use, but doesn't support threading. The low level stuff is a bit of a tangled web and not very user friendly, but it does support threading. In the end I think I've managed to pull it off.
Today's links are prime examples of why I say I run across some really weird stuff online.
