|Today began with the biweekly shopping trip. There had been a bad storm during the night a few days ago, and a water main had ruptured under the street the grocery store is on. Since the damage from that was still being repaired, we took a different route and ended up going through some road construction on the detour.
We visited the farmer's market on the way to our next stop. This turned out to be the fasted stop we've ever made at the place.
The next stop was the post office. We were going to mail off a package, so we thought we'd be clever and hide it out of view in a little drawer under the passenger's seat. Turned out, in order to retrieve the package I had to yank the entire drawer completely off the tracks. After we mailed the box I tried to put the drawer back and only managed to get my hands covered in dirty axle grease.
Our next and last stop was Subway for lunch. Before ordering, I took a moment to visit the men's room and wash some of the crud off my hands.
Most of the rest of my day was spent coding the new version of the palette helper widget for DBHL. Everything seems to be working now, though I may make a few more adjustments before considering it done.
In other news, GoDaddy's systems were attacked this afternoon. This did not compromise anything; it just knocked them offline for a few hours. Since all of my sites are registered through them and use their DNS servers, all of my sites were down. A real bummer, but what can you do?
The link of the day is a hilarious review of one of the games I've been playing on the iPod: Happy Street.
