|Today's main event was the mild labor day dinner. Instead of going for a big pizza movie night like we typically do, we opted for a smaller hamburger and chips with a movie night. As usual, Netflix conked out in the living room; this time it died near the middle of the movie. Fortunately everyone was done eating at that point, so we just went upstairs and finished watching the movie via my computer. Netflix never has issues on the computers; just with the blu ray player.
Most of my day was spent fussing over the new version of the Shapeplay widget. I found a solution that avoids the multiple Flash object kludge I came up with yesterday, but ran into a new problem. For some reason, it appears the project file for the current version is corrupted. Unfortunately, Flash does have bugs that cause the editor to malfunction, and these can mess up save files. Thus I need to start over, almost from scratch. Most of the code is still human readable (which is the important part) but it appears to have been buggered up too. For example, there are too many }s in it, resulting in a global function being declared as a nested function. How this compiles let alone works is beyond me.
I've managed to get about halfway done. Most of the remaining work will probably be done tomorrow.
The link for the day is another one of those videos where a guy takes a picture of himself everyday. This time he also threw in some stop motion animation.
