Humdrum horror
Posted on August 13th, 2012
I managed to actually sleep for about close to 14 hours last night; obviously I was pretty tired when I went to bed early!

This being the weekly day away from the projects, I spent my time playing various games. The majority of that time was spent playing through Amnesia: The Dark Descent. For a horror game, it's surprisingly mundane. That's not to say I haven't fouled up and died a few dozen times, it's just not particularly scary. I did jump once or twice, but neither case was due to the "scary" stuff: I thought I'd cleared a vent and really hadn't. ANY game can surprise someone like that.

I may just be incredibly jaded after playing through Doom 3, Dead Space and many many other titles. The regenerating health and painless deaths really subtract from the "survival horror" element.

In any event, I should have completed it in about another hour or two, but ran out of time.

Lastly, the link of the day is a video of a cat that performs when asked.
