Rewriting and redrawing
Posted on August 8th, 2012
This morning began with mom and myself heading out to see the doctor about mom's recent issues. The diagnosis was that everything was pretty much caused by her eating three bean salad, which is a loaded combination for someone with her problems. The other interesting thing to note about this trip was the sheer bulk of the patients. Man alive were the patrons obese. I've heard of "Fat Tuesday", but I've never seen it this literal!

Lunch was from Subway, as one probably guessed.

My afternoon was spent finishing up the next update for DBHL and posting it. Now all of the symbol tutorials have been revamped, thus ending phase 1 of the revamp. Phase 2, which involves shuffling the pages around and cleaning up the old content, begins later this week.

The rest of the day was spent working on the comic's models. As I mentioned a while ago they needed to be redone slightly bigger, and this is moving along quickly. The female head bases are already done, and the male head bases are almost complete as well.

In other news I had a little brainstorm about the Tumblr idea. While the research last night gave me an idea that was something of a cross between an undead witch and Frankenstein, a better idea surfaced this afternoon. One of the old adventure games I have features a kindly old cyborg named the Curator. Take his overall appearance, mix it up with the stuff from last night's research and you get a delightfully evil robot that's just right for the part.

Lastly, the link of the day is a video featuring a rather rockin' take on Phantom of the Opera.
