|I went to bed early last night. It seemed like a good idea as I was a lot more sleepy than usual, but in the end I spent the night waking up a lot and having nightmares.
The troubled night's sleep didn't ruin the day however. On the contrary, I ended up feeling like doing random bits of artwork for the sake of trying things out and just doing it for fun. This started out with some 3D modeling where I tried out some ideas for reshaping things and some skinning techniques. The result was a bunch of happy little octopi.
A bit later in the day I contacted one of the artists I follow on Tumblr and asked if it'd be alright for me to ink and color some of his scribbles. He liked that idea, so I spent the afternoon and a little bit of the early evening inking and coloring his picture of Spike and Rarity out for a stroll in the winter.
I ended the evening by reading the pony fanfic I'd promised to critique.
That all said, I did spend some time with the Steam games I was thinking about playing. I've managed to beat many of the levels in Cogs and a handful of the challenges, though I must admit sliding puzzles like these were never my forte. I tend to use a bajillion moves to clear a stage even when I've already worked out the answer.
The other game I was playing was Mevo and Grooveriders. It's a rhythm game (which automatically means I suck at it) but it's pretty fun. There was bit of a surprise on the Mevo customization screen worth noting also.
Today's link of the day is a short video about a group of robots resolving a dispute the only way they know how. That waitress-bot isn't going to get much of a tip!
