|This was one of the quietest and fastest days I've had in years. The majority of it was spent reading my own journal from the beginning, along with some of the links that still worked. I only made it to around late October 2007, but a few dozen things already stood out.
Lots of posts were about me having trouble thinking. Nowadays we know this is a sign that my blood sugar has dropped very low, but back then it was a total mystery and usually resulted in an entire day effectively lost in the fog. A similar trend that was easily spotted was that I tended to eat mostly simple sugars: pastas, candies, doughnuts and so on; stuff that wouldn't support the body for long.
Naturally, what followed that trend was the constant yo-yoing of my weight and the issues that follow.
Complicating things was another trend of just not getting enough sleep and nearly everything being a freaking ordeal. Nothing in that apartment seemed to go right and it was always a state of crisis there.
And through all of this I worked on one of my sites and several programming projects. A large amount of the work done was scrambled, scattered and incoherent, resulting in a lot of time spent attempting to fix it again after the last fix didn't work. Out of four projects mentioned, only one actually made it to release and still exists.
The link for the day is a cute little video from way back that still worked. It's a video of mommy dragon teaching her baby how to deal with knights.
