About as well as expected
Posted on January 9th, 2008
I had a terrible time sleeping yesterday: I went to bed around 5:30 AM, and fell asleep around 11:30 AM. Despite being tired, I managed to make some real progress. For example I figured out how to add menus and submenus to a win32 program using the WinAPI. It's kind of funny that it's easier to create and add the menus using the raw API instead of a fancy toolkit like Delphi's VCL or Lazarus' LCL. I also managed to get a form of RLE compression going that actually works.

The weather today was particularly nasty. It's a thunderstorm with all of the trimmings: high winds, pounding rain, lady on a bicycle, loud thunderbooms, creaking walls, whistling (or shrieking) screens in the windows and the occasional passing winged monkey.

But no fire alarms were pulled; instead some idiot played with his car's panic button for a bit.

The odd catch of the day is this little site about a guy who temporarily lives in an IKEA.
