Groceries and a groaner
Posted on May 12th, 2012
Today began with a trip to the nursery and the healthy junk food store. The biggest gain from this was my lunch (another spinach and goat cheese pizza) and some stuff to celebrate mother's day. At mom's suggestion, we also visited Rite Aid on the way home to pick up a few random things like a Mt. Dew and some Milk Duds (so sue me, I needed a chocolate fix).

The rest of the day was spent busily going between DFO and coding. The current control panel for my site is designed to service the blog and nothing else, so I spent the day working to make it modular.

-- and around 11:30 PM, I abruptly remembered that the previous version of the site's control panel, which is completely compatible with the current site, was modular in design. So basically I spent the evening coding for no reason. All I had to do was grab the old backup, touch up a little here and there, and I'd have been done within 30 minutes.

This is the sort of goof-up that makes my projects unnecessarily complicated and eventually strangles them. Well, tomorrow I'll code in the new modules. Since the day was spent making things modular, I never got that far.

The link of the day is a video about a group of toys that just want to have fun.
