||What a weekend
Posted on April 9th, 2012
|Saturday wasn't one of my better days. Already worn out by having had a poor night's sleep Friday morning, I expected to crash. Instead, Friday night turned out to be even worse, as I couldn't get to sleep. Around 2:45 AM, the events of 2011 hit like a brick out of nowhere. I spent the next few hours crying and nearly got myself a nosebleed from it. When I finally did fall asleep it was nearly daylight.
So Saturday was spent exhausted. I tried taking a nap in the late afternoon, but I still didn't fall asleep. Most of Saturday was spent trying to press on where I could (such as some coding ideas for Background Service and some stuff for DBHL) but largely I just stared vacantly. When I was ready for bed I couldn't put a sentence together, so I didn't bother with a post.
Saturday night wasn't as bad as Friday night, but it wasn't very restful. I kept waking up every 45 minutes or so, and the constant interruption really prevented any rest.
On the plus side, today was Sunday -- the day of the week where I put my projects aside and veg for a day. Most of today was spent finishing Borderlands. There's a few odd achievements I could attempt, but right now it's not really that interesting to attempt.
In other news I also spent today clearing my DA messages; there's about 3,500 left out of the original 9,000+. I've also been in a bit of a mood today (gee, wonder why) and so I kicked a number of people and groups off the watch list. I've been questioning why I even have some of them on there, as their stuff's just not something I'm interested in (or it's turned into stuff I don't want to see).
I also returned to Runescape and Neopets today. The former was less of a return and more of a "log on and stare blankly" though. No real direction there at the moment. Neopets however saw me jump back into the old habit of buying people's garbage, an oddly fun pastime.
Towards the end of the day I had a random thought about Emo; sometime tomorrow I'll make a post about it and get some opinions before I put it into practice. Note that I wouldn't be doing it today anyway; just because I get a stray idea doesn't mean I'll stop my work-fast and try it!
The link for the day is a crazy but simple one. Enable scripts if you have them disabled, them move the mouse anywhere near this guy. He'll come back if you move your mouse over the video again.
