|I gave the idea I had last night a good tryout, but ultimately it bombed. The idea was to find quality stock images and use them for the userpics, giving credit as appropriate. Turns out, what's available out there is really stupid and crappy. I don't want a picture of a smiling blond teen biting the keyboard of her laptop for example. So I spent the next few hours re-drawing userpics, which is pretty much what I wanted to avoid doing.
Other activities of the day included going back over the next story's outline with some ideas I had, and some playing around in Poser.
The last hour or so was spent looking at various recipes online. The intent there was to find some alternatives to the current meal plan that are lower in sodium and over all an improvement. Turns out, if a recipe is low-sodium, it's high in fat and cholesterol. Sometimes obscenely high. The current meal plan, which involves those evil processed foods, is actually lower in fat and sodium than these "healthy" dishes. It's kinda sad when a deep dish pizza with extra cheese has less crap than a vegetable dish, but there you go.
Of course, an attempt to combine low fat, low sodium and hypoglycemic diets is pretty much doomed from the start, which really complicates things.
The link of the day is a short video on how not to be seen.
