|Most of the afternoon was spent rigging up an addition to the site's control panel. This addition allows me to do two new things. One of which is view a list of every userpic used in an entry and how often each userpic has been used. This list is also sorted in descending order by usage, thus I have some sort of idea about what order I should replace the userpics in. The other new feature is the ability to replace a userpic with another userpic in every post where it is found. This mass replace script will deal with situations where the file name really can't be retained when the userpic is replaced.
There are 188 unique userpics; 28 have been either re-drawn or were drawn by me to begin with. Today's userpic is the new version of the moon and clouds userpic -- which is also the most frequently used one.
In the end, many of the single-use userpics will end up getting swapped for another, more commonly used image. From the looks of it, most of those weren't particularly interesting in the first place, hence their low number of appearances.
During the evening I also spent some time working out a plot outline for the next fanfic. It's pretty much done; though the ending seems a bit weak (sound familiar?) so there's still more to do before I work on the rough drafts. I did it using the writing tutorials I looked up the other day, and on a re-read it looks much stronger of a story than Heart of Silver. In fact, it reads more like an episode synopsis than ever.
