|Today was kinda awkward in the afternoon. Despite getting a good night's sleep, I found myself falling asleep at the computer. I gave up and took a nap, sleeping for a few hours.
More of today was spent thinking rather than doing. A big part of this is because when I woke from my nap I had a different perspective on the programming project. In a nutshell, I realized that I'd overcomplicated things again. A better idea would be to whip up some detailed notes and do everything via raw Win32; no toolkits, not even homebrew ones. After thinking about that more, I decided to make the notes public as a programming resource / tutorial. It's basically what I was already going to do, just made public.
In other news, I worked out a new secret of 3D designing; namely how to map multiple materials to an object. This makes textures much easier to deal with.
The link for today is a bit disturbing. A man is trying to filch money from Pepsi by claiming he found a dead mouse in his can of Mountain Dew. Pepsi naturally claims he's lying, but it's their counter argument that makes your head spin. You don't expect such frank honesty from a company about their products. Oh, and I drink this stuff every so often.
