|Last night's sleep was utter crap. I went to bed at 9:00 PM, fell asleep a little after 3:10 AM. In the interim I played the infamous Goldilocks game (ie, "too hot", "too cold" ad infinitum). Sheesh.
I spent the day puttering about on various ideas and projects. The way things are going on of the projects on the back burner may get stepped up to the front burners for a bit. I think I might actually be able to make it work now that I'm once again familiar with the raw Win32 API.
One of the day's surprises was that a Christmas package from one of my brothers and his wife. The package contained homemade cookies, various chocolates, a homemade white chocolate trail mix, a penguin thermometer and a hot/cold pack polar bear. Naturally, the cookies are gone.
Mom and I got to talking earlier about doing a year in review post like I did in 2006 and 2005. 2007 has been a rather s*** year; very little of what happened was good -- we had very little trouble naming the problems of the year, but are hard time naming good stuff. I looked back in 2006 and noticed that the year-end review was posted about this time of year (the 21st to be exact), so I'm going to start it tomorrow some time.
In other news there's a lovely ice storm on the way. On the plus side, I don't have to plow the f-ing driveway anymore.
Today's links are rather silly.
First off there's this satire article about a porn reviewer that was too interested in the wrong Perl. I could actually see that happening -- a mark of good satire.
Next up is a comparison of Drug Dealers and Geeks. Larry the Cable Guy said it best: "I don't care who you are that's funny right there".
Lastly here's a gem I posted last Christmas and just re-discovered by looking over the 2006 blog entries: White Trash Christmas.
