|For the first time in a while, I managed to make some real progress. Much of it was with the GUI version of Necros Cavern. The program now compiles, and has all of the salvageable code from the text mode version transferred over. Most of the game's code needs to be custom tailored to the GUI; a little over half of the text mode version's code supplied the basic text mode interface.
The other bit of productivity was the creation of a nifty little program that will rank all of the folders below a given folder by how much room the files in the folder take up. While this program compiles under Linux, it does not function under that OS. I might be able to tweak it more and perhaps get it working under Linux tomorrow.
Also, the furnace is on the blink again; just in time for Advent and chilly weather. Speaking of Advent; today was the last day you'll see green liturgical vestments until January 7th.
Stuff found online today includes:
The Bible is Viagra for angelic halos.
This is a page of toy bears that have been ripped open and reassembled wrong way out. It's quite disturbing, actually.
Perhaps more disturbing is that a person doing a background check for a potential kindergarten worker somehow missed that the potential employee was convicted three times for pedophilia.
Today was world AIDS day. I just thought I'd share. Also, if you want to help combat AIDS, visit and join the World Community Grid.
