|I slept well until around 5:00 AM, when I had a rather jarring nightmare and woke up. After that sleep was hit and miss. Early in the morning we made a vet appointment for Little One, who was looking a little perkier but still sick. The earliest we could go was 3:00 PM, so we opted for that.
The vet didn't take long looking him over. He clearly noticed something amiss right off the bat when he felt Little One's abdomen. Some x-rays were taken, but the result was already obvious. There was a large tumor in the abdomen. The only humane step at this point was to put Little One to eternal sleep. He was ready; you could see it in his eyes last night.
Pov doesn't seem to have figured out that Little One is gone yet. Hopefully his senility prevents him from putting it together. Sadly it also means that he will also likely leave us soon.
While I'm holding up ok for now, the hard part will be tonight; Little One would sleep under my desk after snuggling on the bed with me for a while and tonight he's not going to be there.
I spent my day working on the new version of my websites. Currently both the blog and the development corner is transferred to the new system. Next up is Background Service. However, I need to also do a little work on the comics -- the last one in the buffer is for the 3rd.
The link for today is a strange, but ultimately happy video.
