||Shopping in a storm

|There's nothing quite like starting the day with a shopping trip in a thunderstorm. It's pretty creepy to be on the road when lightning strikes near enough for the bolt to be visible.
The entire shopping was a big one. It took two carts to carry all of the groceries this trip. For a stormy Monday morning, the place was crowded. Nearly half of the isles were blocked with carts or staff.
At the store I decided to check the deli. The cold section where I had been getting chicken or subs hasn't been carrying anything good for weeks, and today was no exception. However I decided to look at the hot section. The other day I mentioned this section has been very overpriced in the past -- $10+ easy. Today I found that prices were actually reasonable. So I got some chicken tenders (same chicken I'd been getting cold), some jos and a small container of mashed potatoes.
During the shopping trip I checked a number of things, looking to expand the options I have for a small desert with lunch. I've been eating low fat chips for a while now, and it seems like some variety would be nice. I picked up a few different things to try -- granola bars, crackers, that sort of thing. I also picked up a little something extra: a jar of sliced jalapenos. They'll go good on the sandwiches I've made a staple.
We got home and situated late, so there wasn't much of a day left. After dinner I finished a comic, but that's the extent of the progress for today. The rest of the day was spent playing a game called Roboblitz, which comes across as a mix of Portal and Droidworks (a real old Lucasarts edutainment game).
The link for today is a silly little video I ran across.
