|I'm not doing too hot in FFF:CT, as I manage to win only 1/3 of the battles I've played. While I'm looking at how to improve my strategery I'm going around and playing against the various bosses and minibosses.
Mostly I've been playing while waiting for something to install or download. I tried a few more tricks to get Lazarus working for Linux, but all of these efforts failed. Ultimately I really only need to be concerned with the win32 version of Lazarus: WINE allows the binaries to run in Linux, just not as native code.
On the web front the PC Project is moving ahead slowly. Mostly I've been mucking about with design. I also did some poking around on the external drive and I've found most of the notes for Fur and Faith. I'm still missing my notes on the Apocrypha, but that can be redone easily enough.
My main goals for this week are to get some pages and programs done.
One of the things I ran across today was FreeRice. It's a simple web-based vocabulary game, but the catch is that by playing the game money is raised to provide rice to hungry people. Each correct answer donates 10 grains of rice. This site made the news by raising enough to feed 50,000 since its launch last month. I donated about 7,000 grains of rice today.
For a real food oddity, check out Miracle Fruit. It's a strange berry that temporarily alters a person's perception of flavors so that sour tastes like sweet.
And just for fun, here's a little webpage doohickey from Chocoboo tales. Click around; things may happen. Also, I hear that something will happen if you leave it alone for a moment. Note: those viewing this view the LiveJournal RSS feed probably will not see it; LiveJournal doesn't like the tag used to embed it.
