|Most of my day was spent working on rewriting the menu unit for Image Puzzle so that it was closer to being human readable.
However, after dinner we geared up and headed off to Target as dad's white noise machine has died. Target ended up not having what he was after, so we headed over to Best Buy to look there. He found what he wanted there.
I decided to get a new controller for the computer a few days ago. You see, my old controller is from the era of Windows 98. It's awkward and not very worthwhile to even try to use. I checked both stores we visited today and found a good controller at Best Buy. Mom bought it for me!
Shortly after getting home I tried it with Rocket Knight. The game runs MUCH better with a controller: no more of that "spin when you mean to dash / dash when you mean to spin" BS that was such a pain.
Interestingly, this controller came with software that allows you to map it to keystrokes so that you can use it to play games that don't accept input from controllers. I've heard this is a popular thing to do for DFO. However, the program seems to be more along the line of an autokey program as it allows key combinations and other tricks. That sort of program is prohibited by Nexon, so I won't try to use the controller for DFO.
Speaking of DFO, I tried running it this evening. After it patched I was able to play the game for the first time since the 14th! So I spent about an hour revamping my character's skills and running a few dungeons.
Tomorrow I'll have to start work on the comics again. Hopefully I'll be able to spend some time on Image Puzzle and DFO as well.
The link for today is what you get when you cross an infectious earworm with vocaloids: Levan Polkka sung by Hatsune Miku.
