||Productive day for a change

|The day began with a bit of a fuss. The internet had gone down, and this had sent my computers into a tizzy as the WCG wanted to upload finished jobs but wasn't able to connect. For some reason it can't just work on other jobs and upload the finished ones later when the connection is restored but instead hangs and locks the computer up.
I ended up rebooting them, and this presented a problem with the Win7 computer. The WCG did not start automatically, and when I launched it manually BOINC couldn't attach to the project. I spent a good ten minutes trying various things and eventually found the solution and got it all working again.
Doing that gave me an idea of how to re-start the lame computer, as this was one of its issues. With some effort I got it to boot, and then I updated its drivers and flashed the BIOS with the new one the company that made it recommended. It's more stable now; it's not perfect or very usable, but it's stable and crunching again.
While the net was down I redid my offline homepage similar to how I did mom's the other day. I haven't updated it in about a year, so there are links I never use and a lot of sites I've been visiting through bookmarks, which isn't nearly as convenient as clicking a link.
I spent the evening working on and finishing a comic. I also did the backgrounds for the next two comics. I should be able to finish them tomorrow.
I spent the last few hours of the day playing DFO. My main character, a Priest, has now become a Monk and is very formidable.
The link for today is a hilarious little video about what happens when the boss is out sick.
