|I spent the afternoon working on and finishing a comic. After that I was going to take a look at my online games when I found that our internet wasn't very stable.
It makes sense for there to be lag since I'm in the US and playing on the Singapore server. That's quite a distance for the signal to travel and a lot of hoops for it to jump.
However, I noticed that all of the stuff I normally view online was running slowly. So I ran some tests. It turns out the problem was a 30-40% packet loss at the ISP. Getting the signal past the first hop was hit and miss.
So without the online stuff to distract me I putzyed about. I poked at some of the projects that have fallen aside these past few days. Notably I took the time to re-write mom's homepage.
Late in the day I did manage to get a decent enough connection to play some DFO.
In the meantime, today's link of the day is an example of what life is like without the internet. People do strange things to entertain themselves.
