||Busy week continues: Doctor visit
Posted on June 9th, 2010
|The busy week continues with a trip to the doctor's. He still takes my plan, so I was able to meet him (after waiting an hour). They asked a number of questions and we talked at length about the hypoglycemia and fat problem. He ordered some bloodwork and that was it.
The remainder of the day was spent working out what all will be changed on Fur and Faith. Ultimately a number of things will be rewritten or edited. In theory I could just stick the new content anywhere, but that's messy and doesn't explain everything well.
Mom's old computer has been converted into a cruncher for the World Community Grid. It's on its last legs, so that will probably either push it to the brink or get some helpful use out of what little life it has left.
In other news, both mom and myself are going to be focusing on our eating habits, starting today. I've managed to gain weight, reaching 228. The goal is to simply resize the portions down to what they should really be and just eat less of everything in general. Also, I need to lay off the specials; ie, the deli sandwiches, focaccias and pizzas. They should be eaten once a week or less, not constantly. I also need to lay off the chips, honey peanut butter cups and other stuff from the healthy junk food store.
Tomorrow we'll be doing the biweekly shopping -- for real this round.
Lastly, have some tangentially related Weird Al.
