|I managed to make a fair amount of progress today. I updated Fur and Faith with three new pages and moved Necros Cavern one step closer to the next release target.
The main issue for the day was our grocery bill and the fun with the diets. The main problem is that I'm not losing the weight I picked up in August despite the various things I'm trying. The spells of brain fog may highlight a problem with my eating habits, but as the previous post suggests I'm not certain that's the case.
I polled the people on UserFriendly's forum about their grocery bills and habits today to help get an idea of the problem. Judging by the replies, we're spending way more on groceries than we probably should.
Poking around online I found an interesting pattern. You should spread the day's eating so that breakfast is around 300 calories and lunch and dinner are about 700 calories each. The idea is to keep the body's fuel at an even level throughout the day. I'm seriously not doing that. My breakfast is only 150 calories and one of the two meals (typically the latter) is much larger than the other. Thus I'm running on a near empty tank all day. Another tidbit I found was that men should eat a minimum of about 1,800 calories per day when dieting. To be honest the total calories for my average day's eating is around 1,600.
Thus the new meal plan is to try and even things out a bit. I think. Simply put, a lot of that conversation seemed like everyone involved was carrying on several different but related conversations at the same time. And yes, a bout of brain fog made it very hard for me to follow.
In other news someone else remarked on the wonderful way Fox News reports things and the record for the worlds hottest pepper has been broken.
