Second Shopping
Posted on March 2nd, 2010
The morning began with a trip to the doctors where we learned a number of useful things. Then the errands continued. As we traveled we talked about how our friend was getting so sick so much and it suddenly clicked. Yesterday she ate pizza and then became violently ill. She'd previously mentioned that she was lactose intolerant, so the problem was obvious once both facts were on the table. She has only recently become lactose intolerant (thanks to the cancer) so she hasn't realized that ALL milk products are bad yet.

So we went shopping again. We picked up a lot of goodies for ourselves (such as the sub and pop I had for lunch and the chili I had for dinner), but we also picked up a number of things to give her a safe start.

She was quite surprised by our visit. Mom talked to her about eating safely with lactose intolerance for a short while and we headed home.

I spent the rest of my day coding up the new version of my bitmap handling library.

Lastly, time travel is fun.
